Psoriderm™ Scalp Lotion Shampoo is a medicated coal tar shampoo for the treatment of scalp psoriasis. It contains distilled coal tar 2.5% w/v, which helps relieve itching and reduce the excessive scaling associated with psoriasis.

Raised, red and scaly psoriatic patches of the scalp
Directions:

Wet the hair thoroughly
-
Apply a small amount of shampoo to the scalp

Massage gently with the fingertips to produce a rich lather

Leave on for a few minutes
-
Remove as much lather as possible with the hands, then rinse thoroughly

Repeat if necessary
The shampoo can be used daily if required, reducing use to once or twice a week as the condition improves. Occasional use may then be needed to help maintain control.
Important information:

Do not use on acute, sore or pustular psoriasis

Do not use on infected skin

Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and inside of the nose

Stop using if significant skin irritation, acne-like eruptions or photosensitivity occur

Coal tar preparations may occasionally cause temporary staining of skin, hair or fabrics

If your scalp has not improved after 4 weeks, or becomes worse, stop treatment and seek medical advice
