Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), also known as Lingzhi, is one of the most recognised mushrooms in East Asian herbal tradition, with a history of use stretching back centuries.

Our Organic Reishi is traditionally Duanwood cultivated on hardwood, using 100% mushroom fruiting body rather than myceliated grain. It is carefully extracted and concentrated into a convenient 10:1 extract powder, specified at a minimum of 30% beta-glucans and 40% total polysaccharides.

What Is Duanwood Reishi Mushroom?

Duanwood Reishi refers to a traditional method of cultivating Reishi mushroom using natural hardwood logs. Rather than using myceliated grain as the finished mushroom ingredient, Reishi develops on hardwood and produces the distinctive lacquered red fruiting bodies associated with the species.

Our extract is produced using these Reishi fruiting bodies, which are then extracted and concentrated into powder.

How to Use Reishi Extract Powder

Suggested serving: approximately ½ teaspoon (1g).

Mix into warm water, tea, coffee, cacao or another drink of your choice. A typical 1g serving means a 56g pouch provides approximately 56 servings, depending on how much you choose to use.

Reishi has a characteristically deep, earthy and bitter flavour, so it pairs particularly well with cacao and other richer flavours.
