Organic Maitake Mushroom Extract Powder

Organic Maitake Mushroom Extract Powder

A concentrated 10:1 extract of Organic Maitake (Grifola frondosa), made exclusively from the mushroom fruiting body and providing a minimum 40% polysaccharides.

Maitake is one of the most distinctive mushrooms in Japanese food and herbal traditions. Growing in beautiful overlapping clusters, it has been valued for generations and is traditionally known in Japan as “Maitake” — the Dancing Mushroom.

Rather than simply grinding dried Maitake into a powder, ours is carefully prepared as a 10:1 concentrated extract — meaning approximately 10 parts of mushroom are used to produce 1 part of finished extract.

Why our Maitake?

• 10:1 Concentrated Extract — approximately 10kg of mushroom used to produce 1kg of extract
• 100% Fruiting Body
• Minimum 40% Polysaccharides
• Certified Organic
• Pure Maitake Extract Powder
• No Fillers or Unnecessary Additives

The Dancing Mushroom

The Japanese name Maitake (舞茸) translates as “dancing mushroom.” Its distinctive layered clusters resemble overlapping leaves or feathers, giving Grifola frondosa its unmistakable appearance.

Maitake also has a long culinary heritage, particularly in Japan, where its naturally deep, earthy and savoury character has made it a prized mushroom.

How to Use

Add approximately 1g to hot water, tea, coffee, smoothies or your favourite drink and stir well.

Its naturally earthy character also makes Maitake particularly suited to savoury recipes, broths and soups.
