- Retinoids and wrinkles: Retinol and its precursors such as retinyl esters (pro-retinol) are converted in the skin to retinoic acid. Retinoic acid is one of the most studied anti-ageing actives, shown to increase collagen production and reduce fine lines (Kafi et al., Archives of Dermatology, 2007; Mukherjee et al., Clinical Interventions in Aging, 2006).
- Supporting firmness: Fibrelastyl is L’Oréal’s own complex, designed to support skin elasticity and firmness. Published independent studies on this specific complex are limited.
