• Mirach (Piper nigrum) – 35 mg
• Phool Supari (Areca catechu) – 50 mg
• Amba Haldi (Curcuma amada) – 90 mg
• Laung (Syzygium aromaticum) – 30 mg
• Shudha Kuchla (R.T.) – 50 mg
• Shudha Hingul (A.F.I.) – 35 mg

Benefits & Scientific Evidence

The packaging describes joint-pain relief, reduced inflammation and stiffness, cartilage maintenance and improved mobility. 

• Ginger (Zingiber officinale): Clinical research has examined certain ginger preparations for osteoarthritis symptoms. For example, Bartels et al., Osteoarthritis and Cartilage (2015), reviewed randomised placebo-controlled trials of ginger. Findings for those preparations do not establish effectiveness for the 25 mg ginger extract in Mufasil, whose extraction and standardisation are not shown.
• Piper species: Piper nigrum and Piper longum contain compounds studied for biological activity, including piperine. Such ingredient research does not demonstrate joint benefits for this finished formula, and piperine may affect the handling of medicines.
• Amba Haldi: The label identifies Curcuma amada, not Curcuma longa. Clinical research on turmeric or standardised curcumin cannot automatically be applied to this different species or this preparation.
• Clove and Ficus religiosa: Laboratory or traditional-use evidence does not establish that the quantities in this tablet improve joint pain, cartilage or mobility in people.
