What is humic?

Humic is the darker, heavier fraction of humate, the substance ancient plant life becomes after long ages in freshwater ground. It is sometimes known as lignite, and it carries a family resemblance to shilajit: dense, dark and mineral-rich, with a naturally high polysaccharide content. Humic matter is so complex that no laboratory has ever managed to duplicate it. The only way it is made is the earth’s way: slowly, in the dark, over spans of time we can barely picture.

What is in Humic Minerals?

The trace minerals, amino acids, enzymes and other compounds naturally present in whole-food humate, gently filtered with purified water into an alkaline liquid with a pH between 8.6 and 9.6. Nothing added, nothing synthetic.

How is humic different from fulvic?

They are two fractions of the same ancient source. Fulvic is smaller, lighter and golden; its ionic particles dissolve completely. Humic is larger, darker and more robust, and carries a higher plant-based mineral content. Many begin with one and, in time, come to keep both on the shelf; the Mineral Blend carries the two together.

How is it made?

By gentle filtration with purified water only, from a whole-food humic source. No chemical acids, no high heat, no pressure extrusion. Chemically processed humic is quicker and cheaper to produce, but harsh processing damages the very substance being extracted. Vital Earth has chosen the slow way.

How do I take Humic Minerals?

One capful (1 oz) a day, neat or stirred into water or juice. The taste is mild and needs no masking.
