Who is this medicine suitable for?

• Adults and children over the age of 1 (under supervision)
• Individuals diagnosed with inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or contact dermatitis

Who should NOT use Betamethasone?

Do not use if you:

• Are allergic to betamethasone or any of the excipients
• Have untreated bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infections (e.g. herpes, chickenpox, ringworm)
• Have acne, rosacea, or perioral dermatitis
• Are applying to broken skin, ulcers, or large surface areas without medical advice
• Are using in children under 1 year of age, unless advised by a healthcare professional

Directions for Use

1. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin once or twice daily, as directed by your doctor or pharmacist
2. Gently rub in until absorbed
3. Do not cover with bandages or dressings unless instructed
4. Do not use on the face or genitals unless specifically directed by a healthcare provider
5. Wash hands after application (unless treating hands)

Avoid long-term use without medical supervision as corticosteroids can thin the skin with overuse.

How Betamethasone Works

Betamethasone belongs to a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by reducing inflammation, itching, and redness at the site of application. This helps restore comfort and reduces the spread or worsening of the skin condition.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not use longer than prescribed—typically no more than 2–4 weeks
• Use caution when applying near the eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes
