50 50 ointment: For general use as an emollient in the symptomatic relief of dry skin conditions.
Adults, Children and the Elderly.
How to use
Apply a thin film of the 50 50 Ointment to the affected area of the skin, in the direction of hair growth, as required. Repeat as necessary. Ideally the product should be applied three or four times a day, or at least twice a day.
In adults, where a large area of the body is affected, up to 500g a week may be used.
For topical administration.
Hazards and Cautions
50 50 Ointment should be applied in the direction of hair growth to reduce the incidence of folliculitis.
Instruct patients not to smoke or go near naked flames – risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original container. Stir well if separation occurs.
