A close relative of the rare, true Egyptian Blue Lotus, Nymphaea nouchali — a blue water lily known in Ayurvedic tradition as Nilotpala — has been used for centuries as a rejuvenating botanical and natural aphrodisiac. Its key alkaloids — nuciferine and aporphine — promote relaxation, gentle euphoria, and sensual awareness. Many also treasure Blue Lotus as a sleep aid, finding it supports deep, restful sleep and vivid or lucid dreaming — making it a beautiful companion for meditation, intimacy, or winding down at the end of the day.

How to use:
As a tea: Add 1–2 teaspoons (approx. 1.5–3g) to a teabag and steep in hot (not boiling) water for 5–10 minutes. Add honey or your favourite sweetener to taste. Can also be blended into warm drinks or added to wine for a ceremonial experience. We recommend using a teabag rather than a loose infuser as the grind is fine and some particles may pass through — we sell 100 compostable teabags for £3.99 if you need them.
