Germoloids Ointment treats the symptoms of haemorrhoids (piles). It contains active ingredients to help reduce the painful swelling of piles, whilst soothing the itching and irritation, plus a local anaesthetic for effective relief from pain and discomfort.

What does Germoloids Ointment do?

Germoloids Ointment helps to soothe and protect the area around the back passage from damage and also has mild antiseptic properties. Using a local anaesthetic which helps to soothe swelling, pain and irritation and relieve itching. The Ointment base acts as a lubricant to help the passing of stools and reduce the straining which is bad for haemorrhoids (piles).

Usage / Instructions

How to use Germoloids Ointment:

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Apply to the affected area at least twice a day with a minimum of 3 to 4 hours between applications. Further applications can be made at any time of the day, and are particularly recommended after a bowel movement. Do not use more than 4 times in any 24 hour period.

Warnings

Caution before using Germoloids Ointment:

• If you do not get better go and see your doctor.
• If some Germoloids Ointment is accidentally swallowed, tell your doctor at once.
• Most people using Germoloids Ointment find it causes them no problems. However, rarely some people experience increased local irritation, burning sensations or rashes. If you are concerned about this, or if Germoloids Ointment affects you in any other way, stop using it and talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
• You should carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use 

Ingredients

Germoiloids Ointment contains the following ingredients:

Zinc Oxide Ph Eur 6.6% w/w and Licodocaine Hydrochloride Ph Eur 0.7% w/w 

Yellow soft parafin, anhydrous lanolin, methyl salicylate, propylene glycol and menthol.
