Iodine Tinctureis an antiseptic that can be used on minor wounds, cuts and abrasions to aid their healing progress. It is often found in emergency survival kits, used both to disinfect wounds and to sanitize surface water for drinking.

Directions:

Iodine Tincture:

Apply to the affected skin with cotton wool. Do not cover.
