OVEX (mebendazole) is the UK’s best selling threadworm treatment. A single dose effectively treats over 90% of cases. Threadworms (also called pinworms) enter the system if their eggs are transferred onto hands and are then subsequently swallowed. Once in the bowel, eggs hatch and develop, causing intense itching around the anus and/or vagina, especially at night. OVEX works by interfering with the worm’s ability to absorb sugar that is essential for its survival.

Available in tablets and suspension, the whole family should be treated and observe strict hygiene if one member is infected.

This banana flavoured suspension provides 6 single 5ml doses for the treatment of threadworms for the entire family

Directions:

Adults and children over 2 years: Take one 5ml dose only. The suspension can be dispensed in the measuring cup provided. 


Not recommended for children under 2 years. 


A single dose of this medicine will kill threadworms.

This pack contains 6 x 5ml treatments of 100mg mebendazole for the treatment of threadworms.

Warnings:

Ovex suspension should not be given to children younger than two years of age, unless recommended by your doctor. This medication should not be taken during pregnancy. Always tell your pharmacist if you are taking any other medicine because some drugs should not be taken together. If you are taking a cimetidine (a medicine used to treat stomach acidity), then you should check with your doctor before taking this medicine. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, you should also check with your doctor before taking this medicine.
