Periactin contains cyproheptadine, a sedating antihistamine used to relieve allergic conditions and itching.
Used for:
- Hay fever and allergic rhinitis
- Hives and itchy skin reactions
- Eczema and dermatitis-related itching
- Allergic reactions to insect bites
How to take:
Adults usually start with one tablet three times daily. Doses for children depend on age and must follow the enclosed leaflet.
Important information:
This medicine can cause significant drowsiness. Avoid alcohol and do not drive if affected. It is not recommended for elderly or debilitated patients or children under two years.
