Our Rosemary smudge sticks are carefully bundled from dried rosemary sprigs and hand-tied with cotton string. They make a lovely addition to meditation spaces, altars, incense collections and ceremonial settings.

Rosemary has been treasured since ancient times – the Greeks and Romans wove it into garlands and ceremonies, and in European folklore it was long associated with remembrance and was burned in homes and sickrooms. When burned, it releases a fresh, woody, herbaceous aroma with warm, slightly pine-like notes.

How to Use

Light the tip of the bundle, let it catch for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame so the leaves smoulder and release their aromatic smoke. Hold over or rest in a heatproof dish, such as an abalone shell or ceramic bowl. To finish, press the lit end gently into sand or the dish until fully extinguished.
