How Does Selsun Dandruff Shampoo Work?

Seborrhoeic dermatitis, an inflammatory scaling skin condition that is known to affect the scalp, is caused by a fungus. 

Selsun Dandruff Shampoo is made with Selenium Sulphide, which destroys a certain type of fungus called Dermatophyte. It can also cause a decrease in the production of cells in the top layer of skin, as well as the amount of natural oil (sebum) produced by the sebaceous glands in the skin.

Selsun Dandruff Shampoo 2.5% contains the active ingredient:

Selenium sulphide 2.5% w/v. Other ingredients: bentonite, titanium dioxide, citric acid, sodium acid phosphate, glyceryl monoricinoleate S, monoethanolamine lauryl sulphate, Empigen BB, perfume, sodium chloride and purified water.
